Description:
This beauty was part of the work I created for a group Exhibition 'Collect' - following my obsession with little boxes and curiosities.
The display shelf was made with much love and care with beautiful white porcelain. However clay has a "memory," meaning it can retain stresses from how it was shaped or handled. During firing, these stresses can cause uneven shrinking, leading to warping. Porcelain is super sensitive, or perhaps I stressed it out! Lol!
Anyways, lots of friends have expressed they LOVE that it is warped. I kind of do too. It's charming, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and reminding us that it’s okay to feel a little wonky sometimes!
The display shelf is unglazed, raw porcelain. There is a hanging wire attached.
Display props are not included.
